Sawadika 🙏 I’m Junya. In this article, I would like to write what I thought when I came back to Japan from Thailand. This opinion is because I lived in Thailand and thought about Japan objectively. Please read about it.
After I came back to Japan and waited at home for 14 days, I had to go to the ward office, so I left home for the first time in a while. I felt that the number of people had hardly decreased. Even around 3 o’clock on weekdays, many people wore masks to go to work or school. It was Thailand that was measuring temperature and disinfecting alcohol at convenience stores and all entrances, but in Japan they are not done. There is only alcohol in front of the entrance. I don’t have the impression that everyone is using it. In Japan, 100 or 200 infected people are announced every day in Tokyo alone, but like Thailand, curfew and all shops We have not stopped business at all.
Only in Tokyo, we are shortening the business hours of the store. But still many people on weekends I have the impression that I am out and there is not much sense of crisis. The reality is that what was commonplace in Thailand is not done in Japan. In addition, even though the number of infected people has not decreased in Japan, the government is conducting a campaign to make it cheaper when traveling to rural areas. That’s why people living in Tokyo are traveling to rural areas. The opinions of the locals are both for and against. I’m happy that many people come, but I’m also worried that the risk of getting infected may increase.
Most Japanese universities go online High school students go to school to teach. In Japan, most people in the company go to the office and remote work is not widely used. Moreover, the Japanese government has relaxed immigration restrictions for business purposes from all over the world from this month. You cannot enter Japan for sightseeing purposes yet. As you can see, many people wear masks and go out, but I feel that the sense of crisis about Corona is lower than that of Thai people. Japanese government As a result of making policies that remain ambiguous and focusing on the economy without thorough implementation, I think that there are more than 100 people every day.
