Is RedBull the birthplace of Thailand?!

Language

Sawadika🙏 I’m Junya

Recently, I often go to cafes and write blogs. Did you know that the origin of Red Bull is Thailand?

I think the US is the first energy drink system, but it’s a surprising fact.

So, this time, I would like to touch on the history of Red Bull and the monsters famous for energy drinks.

It’s a bit stubborn, but I hope you’ll read it to the end.

1.History of the birth of RedBull

In short, Red Bull was born in Austria and Thailand.

You may think ??, so I will summarize it briefly.

The origin of Red Bull was the launch of Red Bull (Kratindane in Thai) from a pharmaceutical company founded by its founder, Chariau Yuwittaya, in 1978. At that time, the market was under Lipo D.

Therefore, Chariu distributed a large number of free samples to truck drivers who carry supplies to the industrial park in order to penetrate the goods.

The gaur (two bullfights) used for the logo became familiar, it contained a large amount of caffeine, and it was cheaper, so it became an explosive hit and spread to the market.

After that, in 1984, a joint venture was promoted with the Austrian Dietrich Mateschitz, and Red Bull (Headquarters: Austria) was established.

Nowadays, it contains carbonic acid and is sold in a formulation suitable for all parts of the world.

In addition, product development was greatly influenced by Lipo D in Japan, and it seems that it was made with reference to its ingredients.

2.How to drink Thai people

Red Bull in bottles is generally sold in Thailand (same shape as Lipo D).

It went on sale in Thailand in the late 1970s and costs 10 baht (about 35 yen).

It is a vitamin drink that has no carbonic acid and has a strong taste.

Some people drink it as it is, while others drink it with ice in a cup.

By the way, the energy drink market in Thailand is about 30-35 billion baht (100-120 billion yen).

The Uwittaya family is the substantial largest shareholder of the group.

It ranks high every year in the ranking of the leaders published by the US economic magazine Forbes, and has assets of about 2 trillion yen, making it the third largest millionaire in Thailand.

3.Conclusion

How was it? You don’t know the origin of things that are familiar to you.

By the way, they don’t sell any energy drink monsters in Thailand.

Perhaps Red Bull and Monster are also rivals, and I think Red Bull has overwhelming rights and can’t sell.

In Japan, it was first sold at clubs and bars in 2005, and then at convenience stores since 2006.

So, the history of Red Bull in Japan is quite short.

The occasional distribution of free samples in Japan may have been based on what was done in Thailand at that time. Thank you for reading 🙏
