Sawadika🙏 I’m Junya.
You will definitely see these words when you go to Thailand「สวัสดี」「ภาษาไทย」
You can’t really understand this as a letter.
However based on my experience, I would like to write a study method that
allows you to order this Thai language at a store using Thai language and talk with local people in just 3 months.
In conclusion, Thai has consonants, vowels and tones.
There are 42 consonants. There are 41 vowels. There are 4 tones. Furthermore, consonants are classified into 3 types: middle, high, and low consonants.
How to read a word depends on what kind of consonant it belongs to.
Then the reading is decided by combining the tone mark and the vowel
but, the pronunciation may change depending on the last letter.
Well, there are more than 80 letters to remember than English, and there is a tone, so just listening to it makes me motivated.
To be more strict, Thai isn’t understand just by making a mistake in pronunciation, so I was quite mentally involved there as well.
So how did I master Thai in a short period of time?
Then, I will write about the study method and period that I actually did.
Before I went to Thailand, I studied for a month in a Thai language class in Japan.
Speaking was the main thing there.
The notebook occurred in English with Thai and phonetic symbols written in this way.
And for the last 10 days, I learned how to write letters and the month was over.
After arriving in Thailand, I went to a Thai language class for a month before I started working.
I studied Thai there for 4 hours every weekday. The first 2 hours were conversation practice and the next 2 hours were Thai characters.
As for the letters, I just wrote them on paper and used Thai letters with LINE and my Thai friends.
However, I wanted to improve my conversation, so I spent 10 minutes studying at the desk and 30 minutes of conversation.
And anyway, the Thai language that I studied in the city is output.
I remembered and used useful things such as Thai used when listening back and words used when discounting.
In addition at home, I played local TV and just got used to Thai(Totally couldn’t understand haha).
Finally, in the 3 months, I was able to have conversations using Thai in various situation such as ordering food stalls, discounts and taxi drivers.
When studying a new language, I thought that if I could understand it to a certain extent, it would be an output thread.
After all conversation is important, so I think the most efficient way is to learn while failing.
By the way, one day I was asked to go to a club with a Thai person and pick up in Thai, so I tried it but…..
I was glad that I came to Thai because she knew that I was studying and could exchange LINE.
Why don’t you try a new language? You may have a wonderful encounter.
Then thank you for reading 🙏
